Frida Thinking.

When our standard poodle thinks…..Any black dog becomes a real photo challenge when it hides its eyes under dark curly hair. So I decided to put the focus on texture and enhance the image by completely desaturating it of all colour and adding grain. Walking on Water

Outside the Christian Science Church. The illusion of walking to work on water was what caught this eye. Taken with my second digicam, a Canon S40, in 2006 Copyright Fritschi © Photographs 2000-2014

Red Fox

During a walking tour of the Boucherville Islands near Montreal, this red fox actually let me approach him close enough to obtain this great shot. The closest camera at hand was the D300 with the FX 28-300mm f3.5-5.6.Very handy rig able to provide a 35mm equivalent of 450mm at the long end. Cardinal in Winter

Northern Cardinal/Cardinal rouge (C. cardinalis) Even snow and cold temperatures do not deter this gorgeous bird to visit our Montreal backyards. A little difficult to camouflage such radiant colour against a white background or leafless trees. Ce magnifique oiseau nous visite malgré la neige et les grands froids. Bien entendu, sa couleur le rend d’autant plus visible lorsque les feuilles quittent nos feuillus pour l’hiver. Rimouski Sunset.

Rimouski Sunset.

This incredible sunset view occurs daily directly across from the downtown riverfront promenade. It is such a great vista opportunity that the city of Rimouski actually built several boat like  structures to view the sunsets as if  the spectator were a passenger on a ship in the middle of the sea.
